Update: Michael Khalili started the meeting with a slide show including this slide of famous atheists. Diane Hart gave a three minute Atheists 101 lecture on the 18th Century inventor Thomas Edison, a very outspoken atheist of his time. Ross Blocher told of the Oh No, Ross and Carrie Show and some of the adventures and insights of checking out faith based organizations.
Event date: Sunday, October 28th, 2012
Oh No, Ross and Carrie! is an online talk show where co-hosts Ross Blocher and Carrie Poppy discuss their direct interaction with faith based groups. On the show, the two give a first hand account of what it’s like to be a part of these groups by personally joining religions, attending spiritual events, undergoing “alternative” treatments, partaking in paranormal investigations and more.
Ross will join us during the October meeting and talk about their experiences with Mormons, Kabbalah, Sikhs, Raelians and other religious and supernatural groups. After the talk, there will be a chance to ask questions.

This meeting is free and open to the public.
A complimentary lunch is provided after the talk. We’ll get a chance to meet, talk and get to know one another.
Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building.
About 80-100 people attend our meetings so you’re sure to have a good time and meet lots of new people.
