Special Event: AIDS Walk 2012

Update: We had a great turnout for the 2012 Los Angeles AIDS Walk and our team members raised over $450 for this great cause but it’s not too late to raise more money. If you’re interested in donating, click here to contribute to our team fund.

Before the walk, Xtreme Justice League came by to say hello. We also met with a group of high school students who walked with us. Pictures from the event are below. Click the images to zoom in.

Atheists United is participating in this year’s annual AIDS Walk fundraising event in West Hollywood. The money raised by AIDS Walk Los Angeles supports AIDS service organizations throughout Los Angeles County.

Registration and donation
We will walk as a team under the Atheists United banner in support of this great charity. To register with Atheists United team, click here.

Please consider including a donation when you register with our team. A donation isn’t required to participate in the walk but the money is going to a great cause.

What to bring and wear
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing for a 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) walk that takes roughly 2-3 hours to complete.

Water is provided along the way but it’s a good idea to bring a water bottle of your own. We’ll be out in the sun, so don’t forget to wear sunscreen.

Bring a friend and ask them to register. If we get 25 people registered by October 6th, we’ll receive a table which will make meeting the morning of the event a lot easier.

Where to meet
The walk will be throughout West Hollywood. The meeting area is at West Hollywood Park: 647 N. San Vicente Blvd., West Hollywood, CA. Click here for a Google Map.

An exact meeting location is to be determined. If we get 25 people registered by October 6th, we’ll receive a table which will make meeting each other easier. An email update will be sent to the team when we finalize this location.
