Join us for our annual Winter Solstice party. We’re going to have great music, great food and a fun time!
Buck Bowen will also be performing a song called The Dragon In My Garage. It’s adapted from Carl Sagan’s book The Demon-Haunted World and illustrates the similarities between an unfalsifiable claim and, well, NO claim at all!
Special guest Dr. Peter Boghossian will join us to talk about his new book A Manual for Creating Atheists. The book provides reader with the tools to talk people out of faith and into reason. Peter is a full time faculty member in the philosophy department at Portland State University. He has an extensive publication record across multiple domains of thought. Peter is also a national speaker for the Center for inquiry, Secular Student Alliance, and the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.

On average, each pint of blood collected will help the life of 3 people. Donations will be accepted throughout the party, from 10:30am – 3:30pm.

We’ll also have a fun game to play. So, mark your calendar and join us! (more…)
