Heina Dadabhoy [hee-na dad-uh-boy] spent her childhood as a practicing Muslim who never in her right mind would have believed that she would grow up to be an atheist feminist secular humanist.
She has been an active participant in atheist and skeptical organizations and events in and around Orange County, CA since 2007.
In November 2011, Heina started her popular Islam 101 series, the genesis for her soon-to-be book A Skeptic’s Guide to Islam. Heina’s talk is entitled “Botched Comparisons, Shared Origins: Islam & Christianity”.
To learn more about Heina, here’s an interview from Matt Dillahunty:
AU’s Clothes For The Homeless Collection Basket
Please don’t forget you can bring your gently-used shoes, clothing, backpacks, etc. to the meeting. Your donations will help the non-profit Food On Foot provide for the poor and homeless. Look for a container in the patio area at CFI clearly signed “Clothes For The Homeless.”
Complimentary lunch, coffee, tea, and drinks are provided after the talk. We’ll get a chance to meet, talk and get to know one another.
Bring the kids! They can participate in some freethought projects through discussion and artwork at our AU Kids program. Parents are free to attend the general meeting or stay with their children.
This meeting open to the public. Non-members pay $5 for entry, members have free entry.
Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building.
About 80-100 people attend our meetings so you’re sure to have a good time and meet lots of new people.
We need your support
We are a not-for-profit organization. Your donations to Atheists United and membership make these meetings possible.
