Two amazing donors have pledged to match all funds raised from now until the end of the month up to $2,500! 

Since COVID-19 swept the United States earlier this year Atheists United has completely restructured to prioritize community service and support. 

Now more than ever atheists are getting caught doing good.

In May we officially took over the Atheist Charitable Network meetup page and made a multi-year commitment to coordinated community service campaigns across Southern California. We then raised over $2,000 for the Black Nonbelievers COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund by hosting a virtual 5K and fundraiser. 

Then in June we partnered with the Los Angeles Food Bank and began hosting AU’s first ever Free Food Distribution. We recruited 20 volunteers and gave out over 1,000lbs of food to locals in need. Now we host a distribution program in our parking lot monthly and help over 100 families access food support without having to visit a religious institution. 

In July and August, our volunteers kept the giving back going by sorting food at the LA Food Bank, reading books for the visually impaired online, and cleaning the highways in a partnership with CalTrans. 

Then just last week we wrapped our fundraiser for the Latino Community Foundation and the Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program. This emergency wildfire relief fundraiser raised over $1,400!

It’s clear that when times get tough, atheists unite for good.
