Death Valley Secular Star Party

Saturday, November 6, 2021

Bring your tent, camper, or RV for the weekend and experience the largest national park south of Alaska. Known for its excruciating summer heat and colorful spring blooms, Death Valley is one of the sunniest spots on planet Earth and offers clear views of the Milky Way on a clear, moonless night. Death Valley is an IDA International Dark Sky Park and offers some of the best night sky views on earth.

Our star party will unofficially start at 5:00pm, Saturday, November 6th with a community gathering at our campsite. Then around 7pm we’ll gather our telescopes, blankets, and friends and travel just a few miles up the road to the Harmony Borax Works for our star party program. At 7:30pm the moon will set and soon after our star talks will begin!

Please purchase a ticket if you plan to attend our star talk presentations.

If you can't afford a ticket you will not be turned away, just pay what you can with a donation.
