Fundraising Assistant

(Part-Time, Remote) 

Summary:

This position is designed to help the Executive Director with fundraising campaigns, database management, donor relations, grant aquisition, and event promotion. 

Job Description:

Atheists United, the largest atheist community in California, is seeking a remote, part-time fundraising assistant. We are looking for a passionate, organized, and self-motivated person who is excited to assist our Executive Director with all aspects of non-profit fundraising. 

Duties for this potion will include, but are not limited to, data input, grant research, running donor reports, updating donor records, sending donation receipts, drafting donor emails, drafting grant proposals, and promoting fundraising events. 

Position-Specific Skills:

  • Experience with data input and database management 

  • Exceptional organizational skills. Keen eye for detail.

  • Working knowledge of Google Drive and MailChimp

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment

  • Persuasive writing skills are a plus

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-starter, able to work independently

  • Collaborative team player (expect lots of brainstorming)

  • Positive growth-mindest essential

  • Desire to work in a mission-driven environment, build atheist communities and political power

Education/Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required)

  • Previous experience working with non-profits preferred

  • Fundraising, grant writing, or persuasive writing experience preferred

Job type: 

  • Part-Time

Pay: 

  • $18.00 an hour (Maximum 5 hours per week)

  • Executive Director
