At American Atheists 2022 National Convention in Atlanta Georgia the award for “Affiliate of the Year” was presented to Atheists United for its extraordinary organizing efforts and community advocacy.

Hosting monthly food distributions that give away over 3,000lbs of food and feed hundreds of LA families
Attracting national media attention through our Atheist Street Pirates program
Co-organizing virtual lobby days to organize atheists around abortion access, contraceptives access, and evidence-based education policy
Launching a new addiction recovery program
Launching a new secular youth group for teens
Growing our membership, volunteers, AND donors numbers during a pandemic (when most groups across the country shrunk)
Executive Director, Evan Clark, and Board President, Christine Jones, accepted the award in person on behalf of the organization.
